I do love a good old fashioned jape and in a social media driven world their popularity (and complexity) are on the rise! Here are a few of my favourites counting down to my personal favourite.

5. Walking Dead Promo

This was timed to coincide with a new season of Walking Dead. Make-up artists created zombies who then hid in a large grid ready to scare passers by. I presume they didn’t eat them, but it was set in New York so you never know.

4. Haunted Elevator

Possibly one of the scariest situations to be in: the elevator lights flicker to darkness and when they turn back on you’re face to face with a small child with a haunting face but you’ve nowhere to run. Personally, I’m amazed nobody died of a heart attack!

3. Elevator Collapsing Floor

This was actually used to promote just how realistic the LG screen is. In this prank, the mischievous scamps built an elevator floor using screens which seemed to collapse. People inside were made to think that they were about to die. LG does seem to have a morbid sense of humour.

2. Basketball Half Court Shot

This was part of a series of pranks from the guys at College Humour. Each one become slightly more epic than the last. In this prank, one of the lads attempts a blindfolded half court basketball shot for $250,000. Needless to say he wins (or so he thinks!).

1. Feeding the homeless

I love this prank... maybe because it’s victimless… apart from a large corporation losing a couple of pizzas and some fries!
